Tess Wins Best Of The Best At 2007 CFA iAMS Cat Championship


Description: Wyndchymes Tess, a one and a half year old Japanese Bobtail from West Windsor, New Jersey, also known as Tess, won the heart of Judge Larry Adkinson and thousands of New Yorkers at the 5th annual CFA iAMS Cat Championship, sponsored by the Cat Fanciers Association, the worlds largest registry of pedigreed cats. More than three hundred cats competed at the show, which was held on October 13 14 at New Yorks Madison Square Garden. Winner Tess was joined by first runner up Astral Charm Give Me Kisses, a 11 month old blue cream Persian from Kansas City, Kansas and second runner up Amber Snow Cayenne, a seven month old brown patched classic tabby and white Longhaired Scottish Fold kitten from Columbia, South Carolina. The Show placed the spotlight on 325 show cats representing the 41 pedigreed breeds recognized by the CFA. Among the breeds that were represented at the Show were Japanese Bobtail, American Curl, Maine Coon, Ragdoll, Cornish Rex, Sphynx, Siamese, and Persians. Highlighted at the show was Feline Agility Competition (FAC), a challenge that is sweeping the nation. The tournament, continuing to grow as a show spectator favorite in the 2006 2007 season, was won by Abyssinian Huey, owned by Jennifer Lanci of Long island, New York who navigated a series of ten obstacles, including tunnels, stairs, and poles in 10 seconds.
